Relax with a Bath
It’s normal to have a stressful day, so it’s important to find a way to destress that works for you. We suggest taking a nice hot bath as a means of escaping the stresses of everyday life. In this week’s Stoney Ridge Apartments Blog, we’ve got a few ways to make your bath a little more relaxing.
Bath Bombs and Essential Oils
A bath traditionally involves a soap that generates bubbles, but why settle for just that? We suggest investing in some bath bombs or essential oils that can lend to additional levels of relaxation. Bath bombs are a concentration of dry ingredients (which includes essential oils) that dissolve in your hot bath water, adding relaxing aromas to your bath time. If you aren’t wanting to get bath bombs, you can just add a few drops of lavender essential oils to your bath water.
Set the Mood
If you’re looking for a way to get relaxed, you’re going to need to set the mood. As mentioned above, adding a bath bomb or essential oils can be the first way to set the mood, but we suggest also dimming the lights and putting on calming music as well. A lot of stress comes from our environment; thus stress reduction can come from altering your environment and setting a relaxing mood.
Remove all Distractions
Don’t let the distractions ruin your bath time experience. By removing any distractions, you can have an uninterrupted relaxation session. We suggest putting your phone on the silent mode and placing it in a completely separate room. Cell phones are a strong source of distraction, especially if you have it connected to all of your work accounts. The only exception to this is if you’re using your phone as means of music. In that case, put your phone on silent (this includes vibrations) and out of hands reach. Choose a playlist you won’t have to stop and skip through to find the right song.
